The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) will be hosting their first Policy Conference today, Monday 27th January. EA Worldwide Acquisitions support the event that focuses on the role of small businesses and Government play to encourage economic growth and culture of entrepreneurship in the UK.
Josh Cote, managing director of EA Worldwide Acquisitions, says: “The importance of small businesses for economic growth has never been as important as it is now.” In fact, 4.9 million small businesses are currently employing 11.4 million people in the UK. Over half, 56.6% of small enterprises want to grow in 2014 (fsb-policy-conference.co.uk). “Small business owners have never been as confident as they are now,” adds Josh Cote of EA Worldwide Acquisitions. “It is the right time for the Government and the FSB to come together. The Policy Conference is an important event in order to encourage continuous economic growth and entrepreneurship in Great Britain,” continues Josh Cote.
The Policy Conference will be hosted today at One Great George Street in Westminster. The FSB, the UK’s largest business organisation for promoting and protecting the interests of the self-employed and owners of small firms, will be hosting the event for the first time. The conference will focus on two primary themes: Enterprise and Growth as well as Skills. The Policy Conference will set the agenda for the future of small businesses in the UK, growth opportunities and skills. The discussion can be followed online (fsb-policy-conference.co.uk). There will be a high-calibre of speakers lined up, such as Senior Cabinet Ministers as well as Karen Mills, formerly of the Obama Administration, Matthew Hancock MP, Minister for Skills and Enterprise and Chuka Umuuna MP, Shadow Business Secretary (fsb-policy-conference.co.uk). Ron Emerson, Chairman of the British Business Bank, will also take part at the FSB’s first Policy Conference. He will discuss growth in the UK economy and listen to views on how the British Business Bank can best support the UK’s small enterprises (fsb.org.uk).
