EAW Consulting takes inspiration from a real-life success story

It’s very safe to say that if you’re reading this article, you’ve probably heard of “an overnight success story”. One of those stories that many of us hear about and think even for a split of a second, “why did that not occur to me?” or “why did I not think of that?”.

Most of the times we hear about the success that the main character in the story had, but we don’t always hear the full story – the part that is left out – the reason behind the success.

EAW Consulting Director, Josh Cote, talks about how he relates to a recent article by Entrepreneur.com to his own business. The article entitled, How the Power of Reciprocity Helped This Entrepreneur’s Sales Skyrocket, talks about the businessman Mr Kevin David. Mr David has a sales platform powered by Amazon and has now grown his business to over eight digits by sharing his knowledge to help others grow theirs. He now teaches them three main things.

“When I first read this article and saw the video, I wasn’t surprised at the things Mr David was saying,” commented Mr Cote. “In our industry, the main three principles he uses and acknowledges, relate directly to the success we have seen too at EAW Consulting,” he added.

Overcome the fear of failure

First, he talks about the importance to finally overcome the fear of failure. Mr David says, “People see the success I’ve had and think it just happened immediately — it was like the first thing I tried. It actually was a number of different failures, kind of leading up to something that actually finally worked,” he explained. David says that hating his accounting job is what pushed him to leave his corporate position and pursue his business ventures.

Focus on what works

That next “something” wasn’t what made him successful he had jobs, tried to launch different things and launched a few of which none (even though he still thinks were good ideas) had a successful end. “Try, try, try and try again until you succeed,” says Mr Cote, who relates entirely with what Mr David had to overcome.

Provide value for free

By providing value for free, Mr David strongly believes that it spreads generosity and people want to reciprocate, and that’s why creating videos and teaching, helps his business excel. It’s also what EAW Consulting believe with their business development plan. As each new individual enter, they have the opportunity to learn and excel – value at its highest form.

Success doesn’t come easy to anyone. You have to work hard and that precisely what Mr Cote believes in, and a reason why this particular success story resonates with him. To find out more about success and the EAW Consulting brand head to eawconsulting.co.uk today.
